I interviewed my father, my grandfather used to play drums in a band back when my dad was a kid.
My dad is 51 years old and is a former Caerphilly local, he used to play drums and guitar when he was younger. He is very fond of heavy metal bands, and like me he appreciates a bit of edgy screamo.
I asked him some questions of whether or not he had noticed a recent decrease in musical interest, the lack of fresh talent from bars and the bars that have been shut down.
He believes that local bands, once they reach stardom, immediately discard the community and use it as a stepping stone.
We were in the car, so please forgive the bad audio. I said Paramore, I meant Evanescence.
My grandfather was in a band called Free & Easy, it was a live band that came from Caerphilly, my Grandfather played the drums. Their one album was called Four Easy Moves, however, it cannot be found easily on the internet due to the age and location of the band. My oldest brother, the more musically gifted amongst us can play Guitar and Electric Guitar fairly well, while me on the other hand can only sing.
